Damn. One time we had to stay at Omni because our flight back to NYC kept getting cancelled one after another. By the time we ascertained that it was pointless trying, we decided to stay over in Charlotte. Unfortunately by then, ALL hotels were already sold out, even our beloved Westin which normally would have been able to fit us in even in a sold out state. Not that night. However we were able to pull some strings and ended up having Westin book us rooms at the Omni. It was only for 1 night. We were able to move back to the Westin the next day. The only problem was that all our toiletries were at the Westin. So it was painful the next morning to have to head back to the Westin to wash up. However, I would say the stay at the Omni was OK (aside from their exhorbitant $7 charge for Evian (I believe it was Evian) in the rooms OMG. Even Westin doesn't charge that much for water. They were such punks, Omni, they placed the expensive Evian glass bottles in the room and therefore are purposely trying to increase billing. We were just spoilt and used to staying at the Westin... however the saving grace about Omni is that we were members of a gym that incidentally was located within the Omni building.... talk about convenience. It was a professional gym with classes, full equipment and courts... so much better than the typical hotel gyms. SWEET.
