I've been to Social a couple times. I - as I have said in other reviews - almost always give places 2 chances.
My first experience was - eh. My date and I sat at the bar and both ordered appetizers and drinks to share. First drink my date got - cracked glass. They just poured that drink into another glass. What if there was a sliver of glass that made it's way into the cup? A new drink should have been made. I know it seems wasteful, but it's better than injuring someone. Then...it took significant effort to get the attention of anyone to get more drinks. Thank goodness we didn't want more food. The bartenders were too busy flirting with the ladies at the end of the bar. Or maybe they were regulars. Regardless - you never know who your next regular could be.
My second experience, again was - eh. I probably won't go back. My co-worker and I decided to go after completing a few weeks of what seemed like HELL at work. We were both looking forward to a grilled cheese and tomato soup. What a disappointment! I would have rather gone to panera for their tomato soup. Our waiter - again, took significant effort to get attention.
What got us is the picture I posted. Before I posted it, I checked their menu and the other pictures on here. Sometimes restaurants spell things different because "that's their thing". Yeah, learn to spell special correctly. These were cards on ALL the tables and the bar.
Just disappointed all around both times. I drive past Social every day on my way home from work. It'd be a great happy hour location, but after my 2 experiences, I'm doubtful there will be a third.
The only reason they got 3 stars is their Cauliflower patties are pretty awesome.
