| - DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE. My girlfriend and I were going to a birthday party for her best friend, so we first stopped at the Target across the street and bought her presents. My girlfriend saw these glow in the dark $1 balloons there so we purchased those as well. We then went to Party City to buy her balloons and boxes to put the gifts in, and so we purchased those as well. My girlfriend brought in the glow in the dark balloons from Target in order to have them inflated (a service Party City provides), but she decided she was going to return them because we had bought some she favored more at Party City. However, as we were leaving, the woman who checked us out (who had already showcased quite a bit of negative attitude) claimed we had to stay because she had not seen us walk in with the glow in the dark balloons. (Just a side note, my girlfriend walked in holding the balloons in her hand, and if any of the workers had made an effort to greet us they would have seen them) Even though I was irritated that she would assume we were attempting to steal 3 $1 balloons after we had just payed at over $20 for the other items we purchased, I understood and told her to wait there so that I could go to the car and get the receipt. When I was looking for the receipt in the car my girlfriend returned and said she just left the balloons in order to avoid conflict (she's quite passive). I refused to allow the workers disrespect my girlfriend and I and keep the balloons I had bought with my hard-earned money, so i grabbed the receipt and walked back in to the store to show the workers and take the balloons back. After walking back in, a woman with red hair gave me a dirty look and said "oh you brought a receipt" in her meanest most condescending tone possible, and snatched the receipt from my hand. While still eyeing the receipt, she began to say "yeah, there aren't even ba--" (she stopped speaking when she saw the balloons on the receipt). Then she walked over to where they kept their balloons and compared. She then said "these aren't the same" (keep in mind there are NO serial numbers on the receipt to compare) then she walked over to me and shoved them in my face and said "whatever just take them" so I took them, still controlling my anger. THEN, as I was walking away I clearly heard her say "thief". Justifiably angry as I was for being harassed, I turned around and called her an idiot for thinking i stole the balloons i clearly had a receipt for. She then kicked me out, claimed she was going to call the police, told me never to return, screamed profanities at me while i was still and the store and after i had exited (including loud and excessive use of the F-word) and called me a Faggot 3 separate times. Do not go to this store.
