  • I have lived at The Met for roughly two months and am enjoying my experience so far. This apartment complex is very conveniently located near two major freeways, the Chandler mall, as well as a multitude of restaurants and stores. These are major pluses and are what drew me to this area of town. The apartments are very nice and modern with large, open-concept living spaces. They feature dark flooring and cabinets, as well as modern stainless steel appliances. They are on the expensive side but pricing is likely based on the newness of the complex, as well as the surrounding amenities. Upon moving in, our apartment was clean but we faced numerous maintenance issues, which is unusual for a relatively new apartment complex. However, after all issues were resolved over the course of approximately two weeks, the manager Anastasia personally reached out to apologize for the less than standard pre-move-in inspection. The Met offers two large pools that are heated in the winter. Our apartment faces the interior of the complex and the larger of the two pools, and the noise levels throughout the day and at night stay relatively low. There are also several grills and fire pits to enjoy, as well as a small dog park. The gym contains modern equipment and free weights, yet fails to offer a water fountain or restrooms nearby (nearest restrooms are located outside by the pool, downstairs through the leasing office, which is locked after hours). The one downfall that this complex has yet to master is the issue of parking. The majority of the parking lot consists of covered, assigned parking spaces. Free covered spots are designated with an "open" label. Upon signing our lease, management informed us that they are moving towards a "free-parking" community, and that the option to purchase a spot is no longer available. However, the issue arises that residents with existing leases currently pay for many of the spots, drastically limiting parking for new residents. Upon expiration of their lease, their spot will become open, but the uncertainty of that time makes currently parking a hassle. Open spots quickly fill up as residents return home from work and after 6 pm, it can be difficult to find a spot. To remedy the current situation, the Met offers complimentary parking at the surrounding hotels (owned by the same owner), if you don't mind a walk back to your apartment.
