I would give a zero star review if I could...the treatment I received from this hospital is nothing short of horrendous care. I was taken to Phoenix Baptist after having a seizure on the bus. I have a history of uncontrolled seizures and my Dr. had added vimpat to my keppra medication to see if I could get my seizures under control. They gave me a small dose of keppra and told me that I could leave. I left and went to the shopping center close by to call a cab home..I was still feeling ill. I had another seizure and was taken back to Phoenix Baptist.. I tried to leave but was taken back inside. I have seizures where I wake up post ictal..confused. A nurse came into my room and yelled that for me to be falling down after a seizure that I must be on meth. I was so shocked and horrified as she drug me down the hall and pushed me out into the waiting room ..yelling I just wanted drugs. I was so confused why she was making such allegations...my chart states that I am epileptic. I made it across the street to the light rail and woke up to paramedics telling me that I had a really bad seizure and I was taken elsewhere for treatment. The nurses need to be educated on how to treat people with tonic clonic seizures and not everybody who falls down on the floor is on drugs.. I am still horrified at the lack of care...
