Appliance Warehouse is a great place to buy quality, used appliances. I've been a customer for many years. Recently I had to get a fridge for a rental unit. My schedule prevented me from visiting the showroom and just needed a basic, apartment sized fridge so I called to see what they had in stock and order over the phone. The woman answering the phone would not let me talk to anyone about getting a fridge and said that this is not how they do it and hung up on me. So--I called another appliance place and got my fridge there.
Fast forward to last week and this time I needed a basic model black or stainless stove. The place I bought the fridge from didn't have any in either color so I decided to give Used Appliance Warehouse another try. The same unpleasant person answered the phone and this time, I asked to speak to the sales dept. I explained to the salesperson what I wanted. He was reticent about selling sight unseen but I told him I was a loyal customer and never had any issues with purchases in the past. He had exactly what I needed and we set up a delivery a few days later.
They give you a 4 hour delivery window, and the delivery guy called when they were about 20 minutes away. The delivery and install guys were fantastic, moved the stove down a very narrow walkway and hooked it up w/ no issues. And the stove was exactly as described and in very good condition.
The only reason I am deducting a star is that the woman answering the phone is very, very unpleasant. It gives an extremely bad first impression. Second, there was a 10% off Yelp coupon and the store would not honor it. The salesperson did give me $10 off, which I appreciated but why advertise with Yelp and offer a coupon if you aren't going to honor it? I'd like to get the rest of the advertised discount, but am not betting on it.
