| - The changerooms of this spa are FAR superior than their competitors across the street, but I rated the other place higher because when I'm going to the spa, I'm more concerned about the facilities that I use outside the changeroom, and this place was much smaller. There was only one hot tub, one pool, one sauna (unscented - aromatherapy would be nice), fewer relaxation areas, but they did have a cold shower in addition to a cold pool, which others don't have. But the hot tub felt small and cramped, with just a few jets that were often occupied, and less warm than I would have liked. I kind of felt that the eucalyptus here was weaker than at the other two spas I went to, but it was decent.
I also appreciate that you get to use really nice toiletries here, and the shower stalls are all separate (instead of separated by a wall that doesn't touch the floor, where you could get splashed by your neighbour on your feet). And on week day mornings, they have a great special - $90 for an hour long massage, as well as use of the amenities. But we came on a week day morning and there were a LOT of people - it felt sort of cramped. I naively assumed, with my small world view, that it would be less busy because most people work during the day, but I guess there were a lot of other vacationers and non-9-to-5ers.
I like that they were more generous with the towels though - by default you get 2. This place is definitely worth visiting.
Tip: We got a deal where for $95, you can gain access to the water therapies AND have a lunch at Maison Christian Faure. The value of the pastries alone, if you eat in, covers the extra $17 (because it's $39 per person to use the spa during a week day), so it's a great deal. There isn't a ton of food though, so we actually had it for breakfast, but it was a very nice experience.
