| - Here's the short review: I've stayed in Tijuana hotels for $30.00 a night that offered better quality/service than this place.
Here's the details: We arrived around 4:00 p.m. only to be told our room wasn't ready due to the fact that the staff who cleans the rooms were all "out". After a six hour road trip (from California), the kids were already restless....and then they were informed it would be an hour until our room was ready.
After the hour long wait, we finally got our key cards and walked to our room. Upon opening the front door, we noticed that the beds were unmade, towels were on the floor, and there was garbage in the cans...the room hadn't been cleaned. "Just give us another ten minutes" was what the front desk stated. It took the worker almost and entire hour to get to the room and clean it.
So we've all unloaded the SUV and begun unpacking: tooth brushes by the sink, clothes in the drawers, stuffed animals on the beds, etc. It's bath time for my little one and we find out that our shower and bath are broken; there's absolutely no way to get hot water and little water pressure. I call the front desk only to be told that they had no other rooms, as they were completely booked (great, others share my misery at least).
We decide to fill the bath tub up with warm water from the sink using the ice bucket provided but had to stuff some socks into the tub drain because that wasn't working either. As my daughter just starts splashing in the tub, we get the call that a room opened up, upstairs. Great.....
In the "new" room, our sink doesn't work right (It sprays "spits" of water at you while you try to wash your hands). It also has a musty smell and the lamps which are affixed to the wall are practically falling off.
Only since I'm on a rant: the continental breakfast they serve was basically a few stale bagels and toast, cereal for the kids and coffee. They did put out orange juice, which tasted like pure concentrate. They also put out apples, which was probably the best choice.
This is the first time in my history of yelping that I wish I could give a few NEGATIVE stars.
