New location on Spring Mountain and Arville (across the street from Sushi Kaya).
It may be a bit difficult to come here if you are not familiar with Taiwanese cuisine, as the menu is non-descriptive and there is a bit of a language barrier. I get by using Yelp photos to determine what I will be eating and blindly choosing an item. Yi Mei Champion seems popular for a typical Taiwanese breakfast. I've noticed that this is usually composed of their salted soy milk or salted bean curd, which is are light soy-saucey broths with tofu and some pork floss for saltiness. I add chili oil and it's nice, warm, and homey tasting. Order some extra oily Chinese fried donuts to dip into it! May not be super healthy, but it's super comforting.
Other things my boyfriend and I have tried:
-Noodle dishes have been good.. can't give much advice on how to order these as we randomly chose them.
-Radish w/ eggs. More like a soft dough fried in eggs. I enjoy this.
-Chili oil bean curd- very salty, buttery tofu with a hint of spice. Good to eat with rice or spread on something bland.
-Beef roll - pass. dry and pre-made. Nothing special.
I saw a lady near the front making large crepe-looking dishes with a gooey looking dough. Didn't get a chance to ask about it.. but I would totally appreciate if anyone knows and would like to enlighten me about it!
Don't expect amazing service. Do expect quick and homey food that is cheap.
