Locally owned and in Tempe for 30+ years. It has the feel of an old time barber shop, where the person working knows your name and takes the time to do a good job. The owner, Chantel, knew exactly what she was doing. I think I have a weird shaped head (she said I don't) but over the years I've discovered that if my hair is cut too short in a certain place, my head looks misshapen. Usually I have to explain this to the person cutting my hair, but Chantel already knew what NOT to do. I like that.
Prices were a little higher than I'm used to paying, but in terms of the service and quality, it was well worth it.
Olympic only takes cash. I never carry cash and had to run to the bank. I told Chantel I'd be right back and she said, "Ok. I trust you."
When was the last time a business told you that?
