This review is regarding BILLING only, as I was never able to utilize the gym. I signed up on in mid May 2015 and had to cancel the first week of June 2015. I was advised by both the Manager of the gym and the Sales associate, at the time of signing if I cancelled prior to June 8th, I would not have to pay the annual $39.95 fee and would only have to pay $15.00 cancellation fee. I was never told that cancellation requests take a 30 day cycle (per the email I received when I tried to cancel online) so I would be charged the following:
* Monthly fee of $15.00
* Annual fee of $39.95
* Cancellation fee of $15.00
Total Cancellation fee is $69.95 for never using the gym and having the membership a total of 17 days. .
The billing department is 3rd party and does not care what was told to you at the time of sign up, the gym does not assist with billing, therefore no one is available to resolve issues.
These policies should be explained when signing up. I was given the total amounts I would have to pay if I chose to cancel prior to above date and this was highlighted on the form, and I acknowledged the pricing structure of just $15.00. To pay the Annual fee is ridiculous since I was only a member for 17 days, not 365 days. To pay the monthly fee of $15.00 for a new Month of July when I am cancelling and will not have access nor need it also does not make sense.
I should only pay the CANCELLATION FEE of $15.00
Update to this review: It is now Oct 2015 - still trying to resolve my cancellation. I have spoken to 3 different managers (now JLewis@eosfitness.com he will never return your call) over the time period of May to Oct. I had thought my issues were resolved but of course they charged my card again after they had confirmed my cancellation. Their stellar customer service was very rude and not at all helpful which is surprising from the excellent reviews they have received.
