I was really nervous about having my eyebrows done especially after a recent bad experience at a threading salon in Scottsdale (which took about two months to grow back!). I was also nervous about getting my eyebrows waxed because I have always had my eyebrows threaded and like the precision that threading offers.
My fears were completely misplaced as Laura did a really excellent job, went out of her way to make sure I felt comfortable, and was meticulous. I will definitely be going back and am so glad to have found a new place that I can trust.
I really appreciated that Laura took the time to talk to me about the look I wanted. As soon as I arrived, she sat me down to discuss my different options. She also used a white eyebrow pencil to trace out the shape that she recommended for my face.
The wax she used did not hurt at all (and hurt a lot less than threading). The wax was also used primarily to remove growth away from the eyebrow. Once she was done using the wax, she took her time to really shape my eyebrows using tweezers and scissors. (This also did not hurt very much and hurt a lot less than threading.) Overall, I was extremely pleased with her attention to detail. And I love how my eyebrows look!
Laura was also really friendly and I enjoyed talking to her during the appointment. It is clear that she loves what she does.
The cost is slightly more expensive than other places ($20 versus $9-$14 at threading salons in Phoenix). But I think this amount is well worth the good, professional service that Laura offers.
