  • The shelter near UNLV is clean, well furnished, professional and organized. In comparison to the larger more sterile, and sometimes uninviting shelters I've worked in, the NPHY really feels homely and welcoming. I'd have no problems recommending NPHY if I were to run into a youth that's in need of a place to call home, need a bite to eat or clothing. In addition, NPHY also provides programs and counseling to help kids transition into everyday living. I've had the pleasure of volunteering with NPHY during their Feel Good Fridays where we set up outreach tables after-school in areas that are incredibly high-risk, low-income neighborhoods. Its truly been a humbling experience and love working with them.
