Leave the hiking boots and backpack at home. I saw one father carry his stroller up the trail. It's a short walk up a rocky step path to a big rock with a hole in it. There's a pretty good view and if you come at the right time of day, you can sit and relax in a shaded area. If you're feeling frisky, you can scramble all the way to the top.
It can get crowded and you might have to park in the separate lot further down the road which is what we had to do. All in all, it's easy and good to take little ones, old ones, or if you just want to get a little fresh air.
