While the concept of this place is wonderful, the reality is not. My 3 1/2 year old has had fun the two times that we've been there. That being said, I don't think we'll ever return. The lack of supervision in the main play room by staff is the problem. Both times we went, the same sibling pair was there and they were downright mean to many of the other younger children (throwing toys at them, bashing their cars purposely into the wall). Mom sits in the cafe on her cell phone, totally oblivious to what her children are doing. It completely ruined our visits- both times. I can stick up for my son, but after a certain point, it's not enjoyable when you have to spend every moment keeping an eye on where certain kids are. I know it's not the business's job to parent, but....there is NO supervision in that room. They need to have a zero tolerance policy for bullying- and maybe require parents to be supervising their own kids (crazy concept!)- or have someone monitoring the main playroom? We will continue to go to EC Street Playtown, as we've had nothing but pleasant experiences there.
