Got the higher priced ticket and sat in the front row at the very end. This revue features a band that consists of a drummer and a keyboard/sax player. That's it. They did a great job considering there was only two of them. The band has two backup singers, and the woman singer occasionally sits in on piano. The highlight of the show were the male singers, especially when they sang together as the Four Tops.
I thought the real star of the show was the guy singing the Sam Cooke and Jackie Wilson songs. He seems very charismatic with a great smile.
Frankly, I was puzzled by the line up of talent. The songs didn't really come close to comprehensively covering the genre of soul music. The songs seemed to match the singers' strength instead. For example, there was a middle aged woman who looked a bit like Dionne Warwick and sang only Dionne Warwick songs and nothing else.
Finally, the show featured four female dancers and two of them handled backing vocals too. I guess they add to the act if you like Vegas dance routines.
The room is pretty small but wide, so getting a higher priced ticket like we did wasn't that necessary. A few rows back would have been just fine.
Bottom line: This show isn't nearly as good as Hitzville at the V Theater outside of Planet Hollywood. But still fun.
