| - Yum! Due Forni is right up the street from us and we didn't even know what we were missing this whole time.
Started with the Smoked Pork Belly. It was a little odd because it seemed like the pork belly was a big piece of fat. I've had a few different pork belly appetizer dishes from various restaurants and cuisines, but none seemed that fatty. It was smokey as the name states, which I'm usually not really too keen on of smokey meats, but for this, it worked. It was served on a wooden plank with greens and blueberry. Odd combo, but I didn't hate it.
We also ordered the Due Forni pizza and the Daily Lasagna. The Due Forni pizza was good, but there was some really odd flavor in it that I couldn't make out, and I wasn't crazy about it. However, the Daily Lasagna was top notch. It was a bechamel sauce with sausage inside and CHEEEESSSEE. Wow, that lasagna killed everything else and allowed that visit memorable. Good job Due Forni on that yummy lasagna. I do wonder though, if it says 'Daily Lasagna', does that mean it's different nightly? What if next time I eat there, and order the lasagna, it comes out not as delicious? Hmm.....
