| - My family decided to have brunch here on a Saturday. It was my first time at Maison Boulud so I was pretty stoked to try it.
Good : The service was exceptional. Honestly, the hospitality is above anything I've experienced, everything from the hostess to waiters is very polite. My glass was constantly refilled, unbelievable good service. The decor was beautiful, we were seated outdoors and the garden was gorgeous (until my mom pointed out 'Look at all those dirty looking buildings behind it!). For appetizers, I've ordered the veal carpaccio and it was delicious. I had the trout as my main, and it was hands down the best fish I've ever had. Basically, every dish I picked was a hit!
Bad : Everyone else's food. My mom ordered a Croissant de Chez Hofkelsten Farci, which is a fancy name for soggy croissant with way too much cheese. My sister had the Ouefs Muerette, which translates to boring eggs benedict in English. My father ordered the DBGB Burger, which he never mentioned if it was good or not.
Bottom line: I've sampled their plates as well and concluded that is very subpar for the price. Location is nice, the decor is stunning, but I wasn't blown away by any other dish...except the trout.
