  • Alson's came highly recommended as an appraiser for estate jewelry we were interested in selling. We had some vintage pieces and the staff was pleasant and helpful. We were surprised at the exceedingly low price they offered. They had a variety of explanations for this and we had done enough research to know that people often over estimate the value of family jewelry. We happened to be in New York CIty the following week and without much effort we were able to triple the offer Alson's provided. Lesson learned, get multiple offers and think twice about an offer from Alson's.
