We were hesitant to spend $42 on a birthday cake for a chef friend of ours, but my wife and I figured the flavor and quality of ingredients would be worth it. WE WERE SO WRONG!! The Black Forest cake we paid so much money for was just some cheap cherry flavored goo with a bitter aftertaste (not the REQUIRED black cherries) spread in between some dry chocolate-ish cake and covered with overly sweet whipped cream. Absolutely awful! We were so embarrassed and disgusted by the cake we threw most of it in the garbage. Never again.
