Toula's is definitely an enjoyable experience. I don't understand the negative reviews personally.
They have a decent wine list but it's a little on the pricier side. We ordered a bottle of amarone and enjoyed the view from our window seat. It was a very nice atmosphere with the only downside being the louder than normal chatter of other patrons.
On our last visit we had a nice beef carpaccio to start with a the charcuterie and cheese plate. There were some very nice italian cheeses, some of which I had not had the experience to try before Unfortunately they were out of the cornish hen as well as quail, so we opted for the beef tenderloin and the porterhouse. Both were delicious, tender and cooked to perfection.
We ended our meal with a couple of glasses of icewine with the tiramisu and creme brule, both of which were great the brule shining through a little more.
I would definitely recommend Toula's to anyone but be prepared for a pricier meal than average.
