When you can find a decent rate the Cliffs is a good option for mid-range lodging in Summerlin (close to Red Rocks National Conservation area). Note that rates seem to fluctuate widely; I've seen everything from $60-180. As Cryetti C mentioned the rooms are conveniently set up like a small apartment. I've stayed here twice, neither time suffering from noisy neighbors. The pool and hot tub are also fairly nice. Also, I've never any encountered pushiness from the staff with timeshare or event ticket sales. There's an Einsteins Bros close by that's open early for pre-climbing carb loading. The downside is that if you want free internet you have to use the business center (open 24 hours). It's wired so bandwidth is good.
