  • Solid movie place with a good beer selection. I really like what they're trying to do with the couches and reclining chairs. I would argue that while it's a great idea, it lacks a bit in execution. Other places across the country are doing the same thing but with stronger results. I'll start with the pros: Like I mentioned above, it's a great idea! I really like that the first few rows are couches with ottomans, ideal for couples. The other rows are recliners with "power" reclining options. You basically can't go wrong with recliners and a movie. I personally enjoy the drafts they have on tap too, nice touch. Areas of opportunity: the theater feels a little dated, being new to the area, I understand it was recently remodeled? If not dated, it could use a good cleaning, both times we've visited the place was just messy - trash on the ground, trash outside, etc. The menu is definitely limited. Again, nice touch, but when you've seen other theaters do the same with a bigger menu (and same ticket price) it's a bit of a let down. Also, I'm not a fan of having to get your own food before the movie. Most other places trying this concept also have wait staff to serve you throughout the movie which is really cool. I can see how a limited menu would hinder this though. Finally, the staff - we've been a few times and the staff has been hit or miss. Last time the gentleman at the bar really knew his beers and helped me find a new favorite. However, I've also seen staff literally yelling at teenagers in attendance and have also seen some pretty apathetic staff. So I guess it's a roll of the dice on who you get. Overall, I really like the idea, but there is some stiff competition out there for places trying this concept. I would really like to see these guys step it up so they can stay competitive. Companies like Alamo Drafthouse and iPic Movies are expanding nationwide - with great success too. If you've ever experienced them, you can see why. I'll most likely still try this place out a few times, and really root for them to stay competitive if any of those other guys come into the market.
