First the good: My salad with quinoa, pistachios and avocado was really good if not hard to eat. The tall bowl was packed to the rim with gigantic lettuce leaves. Luckily, I had a spare plate that I could use to chop it up. I still ended up getting quite a bit sprinkled in my lap and on the floor. As someone who doesn't eat meat or dairy, this was really the only meal option I had. It was tasty but still salad.
The restaurant is fairly nice but relies on those features all new restaurants share: exposed wood beams, open floor plan and Edison lights. This makes for one noisy restaurant once the place was full. My dining partner and I had to yell at each other to have a conversation.
We would have sat outside but there was a singing guitarist out there. Of course he had the speakers turned waaayyy up. It's like the management decided that if it was quiet outside, people might realize how not-quiet it was inside. Why not maybe the patio really, really loud too? On a Tuesday night?
I asked my friend if she would go back considering she had a lot more menu options than I did and her husband hadn't been there. She had really enjoyed her dinner but given a night out, she would probably look for somewhere quieter.
