| - A great place to bring the kids to is this cute little area. Admission is free - though it is advised to leave a small donor tip for these nice folks! Most of the folks working here are all volunteers, so yeah giving back is always nice to do.
It's a home with plenty of land area - which has been converted to a mini farm. There are rabbits, chickens, cows, peacocks and peafowl, cats, I thought I saw a llama at one point, but I could be just confusing myself. Plus they have a variety of other critters! You can feed the animals too! So make sure you bring plenty of coins along to purchase the feed to give the animals.
Produce is seasonal, and the animals here provide other goodies. If you want to buy your own eggs here, you are best to call in advance to see if they have any available - cuz they go QUICK! There are homemade pies, honey, jams - and other variety of preserves.
In essence you are getting a taste of country in suburbea (or if you grew up country, well - a little bit of home comfort)!
And while you are at it - they do have a snack bar where you can sit down and enjoy a mini meal!
They aim to please here, and during the fall harvest time - they will set up wagon rides for the youngsters (it's a very small track mind you, but still well worth it for the young adventurer), pumpkin stands, hay bale mazes, and more!
Parking is street side, they do have port a potties. Lastly they are only open on weekends, so don't try to venture to them during a weekday or you will be disappointed. So yes, plan your visit early when it's cooler, and not so icky - and you and your gang will have a great time!
Only reason for a 4 star rating - just wish it was a bigger place so you weren't constantly bumping into folks!
