I would not recommend Hugo's Cellar - there are so many better choices in the area. Some people claim a "Godfather" ambience, but I just felt a dated, dreary, basement. The prices are high and the food was mediocre at best. The service was just meh - maybe because I came in a group of 12 so they knew they were getting their guaranteed gratuity. I got the Beef Wellington, it came out overdone and was definitely nothing to write home about. The worst part, though, was the table-side salad service. For a party of 12 it is just ridiculous to hear the same set of toppings-related questions twelve times! The salads ended up looking like something you'd find in a school cafeteria anyway. I left feeling thoroughly unimpressed.
