| - Dr Marvelle and her staff at Desert Forrest Animal Hospital have been seeing my pets for a few years now. Up until recently I've had no serious issues. Then, without provocation, I was told point-blank that my dog's barking issues were my fault because, "you obviously trained him poorly." Adding insult to injury, because my little Yorkie didn't like the cold cruel point of a thermometer up his a** and nipped in the air, the vet labeled him "aggressive" on his paperwork. Even my dog's pet trainer said that when a dog growls and nips, it's "dog language," and he was quite surprised that a seasoned vet didn't know that. I suspect it was just easier for her to label him than try and treat him with a modicum of dignity and respect.
But it's important to note that, while the doctor can appear insensitive, her office staff at is TRULY FABULOUS!! They obviously care about what they do; provide outstanding customer service; and have great insights on issues surrounding optimal pet care. The vet, Dr Marvelle? To me, she was inflexible and disrespectful. I've moved on -- if you're considering this vet office, enjoy the staff but beware of the vet. She can be imprudent and churlish.
