  • Atwood has really grown lately with the opening of the Ironworks Cafe in the Goodman Community Center and the Daisy Cafe & Cafery nestled in the spot that used to house Bunky's. Thankfully the Daisy renovated the space and it's very nice inside now. There are some familiar and friendly faces here as several staffers also work at Monty's down the street so the service was great. They have a full breakfast and lunch menu and a slew of different cupcakes to try. I was at first a little disappointed when I saw the cupcakes because even though they were all lovely they seemed to be very basic cupcakes with different frostings and I was expecting a little more variety out of a "cupcakery" but when I tried the cupcakes they quickly changed my mood. The cake part is very soft and moist and all of the frostings are perfection and tasted very fresh. All in all the Cupcakery is a welcome addition to the Atwood area and Madison in general and as packed as they were I think it's a safe bet to say they'll be around for quite awhile.
