| - Let me preface this by saying that we came here on a Thursday night. Mid-week is generally not the best time to experience a restaurant, and some elements clearly were not at their peak. My girlfriend's wine, for instance, was spoiled - and we aren't picky about wine. It was almost rancid; must have been opened days earlier. But the waiter was very good about it, and a fresh glass was much much better.
Other than that hiccup, our dinner ran smoothly. The food was reasonably fast, and the portions larger than any tapas restaurant I have ever visited. That was welcome, because I came in here on the verge of starvation.
A tapas dinner can feel disjointed at times, with constant interruptions for orders and deliveries. That was the case here, but I can hardly blame the restaurant for that. If we go back we will be more familiar with the menu, and that should help things run more smoothly. We didn't have the best time, but I feel as though they deserve a second chance.
