The only reason I can see to have this place here is to try and siphon off business from Total Wine. I can go for business strategies like that if they produce a win for the consumer, but that's not the case here. This location provides nothing extra, better, or even as good as the competition. So, rather dumb idea. And it makes it not worth stopping here.
The selection is sparse and pitiful compared to even their own Lake Mead location. The store feels claustrophobic and the aisles feel crammed. It resembles the Las Vegas blvd location in that the aisles funnel you, under horrible lighting I may add, to a turnstile counter that the employees hole up into. You shouldn't expect much by way of customer service, either. Other then chatting with themselves, I couldn't find a one on the floor to assist patrons.
So chalk this up to another greed-grab by Lee's that makes a poor attempt to compete with TW. And worse, there has been no employee that I would dare accept any recommendations from. So don't even ask about Scotch or anything high end. So if you are a whiskey-squirrel like I am, keep moving on. Nothing to see here.
