  • I like to think Hairy Tarantula and Silver Snail are two sides of the same coin: the former may not be as pretty, but has plenty of selection in regards to everything; the other is clearly more trendy, but don't cater as well to certain items. From the moment you walk into Hairy T's, if you're a hardcore geek, you know this is your store. Every wall is covered in board games, tpbs, anime and manga, and they even have a room just for miniatures. Behind the counter is a surplus of Magic and L5R cards ranging from almost any set you could want (alas, they had no Unglued). The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable about every subject matter, so ask them any questions you may have. Also, if you don't see something: ask! They may have it in the back. I had a great time I went two days in a row, and would strongly recommend it for any geeks.
