We came here for a birthday dinner and were really excited to try the steakhouse. The ambiance is very elegant and the noise level appropriate.
The pretzel bread was delicious. The butter was fresh and if you missed it, the olive oil the butter is sitting on, is delicious. This was a nice start.
The large group ordered different types of steaks, meats, etc. I had the truffle risotto. We also did a family style order of sides: Yukon Gold potato puree, steak fries, Cipollini Onions & Jalapeño, Sautéed Wild Mushrooms and Shaved Brussels Sprouts.
The food was delicious. We may have ordered too much. The truffle risotto was delicate and the cauliflower added a similar yet unique texture.
The food itself was excellent. I removed 2 stars due to the service. This was a special event and the waiter argued with the guest of honor on how to serve his drink. He seemed grumpy after that. After our meals were served, our service significantly declined. Our waiter was not to be seen (if you're on break, let us know or give a replacement). We couldn't ask for the bill so we sat there. The bill came 20 minutes after we were done with our meal.
I really enjoyed the food and for an expensive restaurant, the service was sub par. This is something I've seen at other Encore restaurants and I feel management needs to step it up.
I would want the truffle risotto again but I'm sure I can find it another restaurant.
