| - Las Vegas the city that never sleeps! Consisting of drugs, boose, lose wages, and party all day/night... so to say 95% that come through to visit! But, for the 5% is actually hitting up some local shows, usually visiting ohana that lives in the area and initially attending "Annual Pure Aloha Festival" Lol! My original plan of our reason of Road tripping it to Vegas for the weekend and eating some local 808 grindz as usual!
A friend of mines from Honolulu recommended me to try and stay at the Delano the next time we come to LV, which is every so often... So I did! Booked my room & we was anticipating our Road trip to LV. But, this time was a little different, Although intentionally our plan were to hang out with friends and family, go check out the pure aloha Festival and eat some ono grindz, be amongst our Hawaiian community. At the last minute, i decided to scratch all of that out and enjoy the hotel amenties for once with my husband.
Of course, we had our Saturday brunch at Cinnamons in Summerlin - huge must when Missing home (808) and headed back to the hotel. My husband was surprised because usually i love to go shopping at some of the boutique places in LV but, i told him "Im super burnt out!" And all I wanna do is relax pool side with my kane on the side of me with leaving our phones in our room for our entire trip to just disconnect from the world and social media! Lol- ohhh he was all in for this and so Happy!
The pool area was so crazy but, super interesting because we didnt know there is 3 Hotels all connected to each other which made the pool area much more crazier! Im Happy that Delano has their own private section and it was much more quiter. I consider it more of an adult pool because Its not quite set up to be a kid friendly versus the Mandalay wave pool or that nuts lazy river - felt like monday morning traffic! Hahaha... foa realz!
It was nice just hanging out at the pool, ordering cocktails all afternoon, soaking in some nice weathered Sun with no clouds, enjoying the DJ playing some chill music, watching ppl play with the chest, meeting some nice ppl around us at the pool area - just talking stories, and unwind! Kinda weird saying this in Las Vegas to "UNWIND" and i never thought in my wildest dream I would say this but, thats what we did! Absolutely nothing! Hiding from the world to just enjoy each others company! Reconnecting as husband and wife, not having to drive anywhere or walk the strip but, enjoy the amazing dining options available between Mandalay and Luxor!
The rooms are super spacious - i really appreciate having the 2nd private bathroom and the living room separate from our bedroom. My husband had to work in between our play time and it didnt disturb my quiet time, love the spacious main bathroom and the sunkin tub, and our room was super Clean- housekeeping does an Awesome job- props to your department! Love the quietness of the rooms- we could hear a little of the hallway area but, other than that i enjoyed not hearing the next door neighbor & having some restful evenings!
Love the live entertainment despite having some dumb drunk group interrupting, dont know how to handle their alcohol and falling on the floor lamps while the band was playing some nice music!
Valet service was Okay - Its a hit/miss. Too much of them admiring the fancy cars and not paying attention to the guest checking in or returning. But, very quick on retrieving our car. But, next time we stay Ill be sure to do a self parking!
All in all - we had such a relaxing weekend! Now that I know we can do this in LV- id be sure to stay here in Delano! Much Aloha for a wonderful stay!
