| - Oh boy, where do I start? Well, let's start by saying if you don't see something on Yelp then perhaps there's a reason for that.
I bought a Voice Daily Deal for a massage here. $39 for a 80 minute massage. "If it's too good to be true it probably is." I looked up the website and it looked fine and then I found that it was in a hotel so I thought it would be like a lot of spas that have space in hotels.
I go to my appt. and ask in the lobby of the hotel where the spa is, when she said ROOM 106 instead or SUITE 106, I knew this was going to be interesting. I told myself if the room had the same kinda of door as a hotel room, where I couldn't see in and had no idea what was going to be behind it, I was going to bail. All of the signs around the hotel read "conference room" and "pool" and "lobby" but nothing that said "spa." I found that a bit strange. I found the room and it had a glass door. I walk in and see its the same size as a 2 star hotel room, just converted into a spa with two pedicure chairs and a makeshift massage room with a table. There was one guy at a tiny desk when I walked in. So not only am I having my first massage with a male masseuse but I'm all alone in here. I started to wonder if the next person I would see would be Chris Hansen.
The masseuse was kind and gentle. I found it weird that he wasn't wearing any shoes and he massaged my forearms and hands while he sat on the floor, but other than that he was a good guy. The room was a bit hot and the room was very small. He had to squish between the head of the table and the wall, which was covered with a glittered curtain. The massage was ok and it did it's job of relaxing my muscles. Right about when it was to end we head a knock at the door. I wondered how this might go. So he just told me to take my time getting ready and head out when I was good to go. I got up and was overwhelmingly slimy from the lotion, my hair was super greasy, and there was no mirror so I was sure I had some "sex hair" going on. I slimed my way into my clothes, went to the front and ask fro change so I could tip him. He didn't have enough change and the next girl to get a massage just offered her dollar. Um, ok, thanks. So I tipped him and slimed my way out to my car to find I better wash my hair really quick before my dinner plans because I'm a grease ball. Oh, and what's that? Ohhhh glitter from the curtain all over me. Awesome!
My friend tried to call to cancel and reschedule due to illness and the message on their machine just said "we are unable to schedule you today, please leave a message." For such a strict cancellation policy it would be great if we could speak to someone to reschedule or at least provide a way to get ahold of the masseuse so he/she is waiting for you if you cannot make it.
Again, the massage was fine and the masseuse was ok. I never come on Yelp to bash companies or people but I feel like you should be informed if you are going to be in a room alone in your underwear with a man you've never met before. Just sayin. Maybe their spot on Mill is better.
