| - This small mom-and-pop shop wins the award for good Taiwanese eats and solid beef noodle soup in LV.
Staff was exceptionally nice both times I ate here, but also keep in mind that Taiwan-style (and other Asian countries) is to let them know when you need something, not for them to come check on you.
Get the beef noodle soup with half tendon and half meat, just a little bit spicy. (I think it's #2.) Done well and finished with bok choy, cilantro, and a small bit of pickled vegetable. Only "problem" is that noodles come out exactly cooked and thereby end up slightly overdone by the time you reach the bottom of your bowl, but not sure how that's avoidable.
Seaweed and braised pork ear are both excellent here as well.
For those as bloody lost as I was while looking for this place, it's in the same complex as Volcano on the far right side, next door to the bakery. The English sign is SMALL!
Like all first generation Asian places, this place doesn't accept credit card unless you hit a min, which is $20 here. God forbid... Anyway, happy eating!
