Delicious, old school, Italian food (with a couple of flaws) complimented by great service and atmosphere. Started by splitting the crab stuffed shrimp served on a bit a spinach and napped with mornay sauce. Two shrimp that were big enough to share, however the dish was a sea of white sauce on a white plate without even a sprig of parsley for a bit of contrast/color.
My guest thoroughly enjoyed her perfectly cooked Parmesan crusted salmon. She shared a bit and I can understand why. I had chicken Francese, which was flavorful though tough (overcooked?) complimented by a scant few capers and a single, quartered artichoke heart. Could have been...but wasn't.
Not my first dinner at Avanti and possibly not my last.
