| - I was given vouchers back in February to exchange for Inferno tickets. This turned out to be way more trouble than this show is worth.
I arrived over an hour early as stated on the voucher only to be told there were no tickets available.
I asked how that was possible, I was the only person there, no crowd waiting, no one else with a voucher in sight and the young male at the box office really didn't have an answer.
I explained that this was an extremely poor introduction for this new show to treat the Vegas locals in such a manner and that if the show is going to extend an invitation to come see their performance, then they need to assure tickets will be available.
I then offered to write a review based on just the box office experience. The box office employee spoke to someone else who spoke to someone else and then there were tickets which had "just become available".
Huh, what a great coincidence!
My seats were in the front row of the rear section on the main floor.
Before the show started, Joe himself walked around with his hood up handing out playing cards and the girls walked through the audience holding some lantern-type things.
I liked seeing performers from the show interacting in the audience and I had hoped it would set the mood for the spectacle to follow.
The opening illusion with Joe emerging from lots of smoke around a stage prop was a cool entrance to the stage but not terribly unique.
Then the Fuel Girls make their appearance and the excitement level began to build!
Joe's sidekick, "Animal" is brought out in a cage. He had a much larger role in the show than I would have preferred. His appearance and antics grow tiresome as the show burns on.
The Fuel Girls added an excellent element to this magic show. They provided a welcome relief from the children's birthday party level magic tricks occurring.
The illusions do not have any unique or different twists to them. Secrets are easily revealed with sloppy use of a cape. Similar card flips through fingers can be seen much better at another theater in town.
Guests were selected from the audience to help Joe out a few times and I will admit, I thought the rope trick was pretty neat.
The bathtub scene with Animal is supposed to be funny (I guess) but my friend and I found it to be unnecessary. Wasn't too thrilled about seeing Animal nearly naked and holding a rubber ducky over his privates. There were some young kids seated next to us and their mother was appalled at the nearly naked male onstage!
At one point, Joe was suspended above the stage with some steel-looking jaw things threatening him. From the angle our seats were at, it was clear that if those jaws were to close, they would not actually hurt Joe.
If this show is to last, it would be because The Fuel Girls are exciting and mesmerizing to watch.
At one point, I was so focused on the blonde Fuel Girl, I didn't even realize Joe was doing an illusion until he popped up in the left side of the audience.
The finale is really incredible! The finale was worth the aggravation I experienced with the box office.
Be prepared to feel the heat in the audience of the fire onstage and be prepared to inhale a lot of the pyro dust. Also, be prepared for pyro dust boogers the next day.
The theater was comfortable, seats are somewhat narrow, drinks at the bar are expensive and the bartenders will try to upsell you a shot of Fireball for just five dollars more.
Show highlights for me were definitely the Fuel Girl who did the acrobatics on the suspended ring while the other Fuel Girls danced around with fire, Olga, Joe's half sister, and basically all of the times those Fuel Girls were on stage!
They seem to be very experienced with fire and are sexy and fearless!
It wasn't really an Inferno, more like a little campfire.
Worth it if you find a great deal on ticket prices but there are better shows in town if you're paying full price.
