This is the tale of my $1800 couch.
- Bought couch. Was told 8 weeks for delivery. It goes without saying this is a classic furniture retailer lie. It took 14 weeks and six phone calls escalating to even make that happen.
- I was told couch was pet friendly. Lie. My cat looked at the couch and it frayed. I have literally never seen a fabric more poorly designed for living with a cat. Within two days the couch looked horrible.
- The couch itself was comfortable but it seemd to absorb dirt from the air or something. Within six months it was literally going black in spots. Urban Barn, of course, denied there was anything wrong with the couch. Now, I don't exactly sit on my couch and rub dirt into it. Finally, I gave up and covered it in two blankets at all times because it just looked awful.
- I'd add the quality of the foam was miserable. After six months the cushions were deformed and about half the size they started. I am 230lbs (not 600) and work for a living. How on earth could the cushions deflate that much?
All in all, every dealing with their customer service was an exercise in frustration and futility. The couch is off to the landfill and I will, obviously, never shop at Urban Barn again.
