I wanted so bad like another review said to love this place. We drove from Lone Mtn & 5th which is not close.
From the outside my Man was like are you serious this place is gonna have canned beans (bcz looks like a americanized unauthentic place w/ 99% non-authentic people going in & out)I'm like the reviews say the owner cooks & it's really a family run spot.
Going inside its decorated how my dream kitchen is (style wise).
We were seated in "Lucian's " section. He seems bothered by all of the customers demands & months of unfamiliarity with "mexican" food.
I ask what he recommends he points out three of the highest priced plates. I choose the "Quesa Tacos" - I get something saucy w meat inside two cold unfresh corn tortillas - the beans were Eh (maybe canned!)The rice was white rice w green chiles & hot sour cream or something creamy (I dunno)
Kids meal had cold limp fries that maybe were fresh cut in house at one point- not tonight- the chicken fingers appeared hand made.
My man had a wet burrito it was a good size for 13.00
Chips weren't warm like another review said they would be-they had a cold styrofoam texture & salsa being chipotle not my thing but tasted cool.
was 55.00 for 2+kid
Tacos & burrito... Burnt out server
Rest of staff was nice.
BOTTOM LINE: Mar Y Tierra = Authentic non-Americanized w the best salsa & chips & Coctel de Cameron & carne Asada !!! For 35-40$ there we would Eat like Kings(& Reynas)!!
