  • The Bristol at Sunset is a wonderful apartment conplex in comparison to others near by, as far as looks and prices are concerned. Initially getting the information I needed, in order to figure out what had to be done during the process was the easy part. Staff was good with answering all of my questions and helping me figure out was best. After that, did however have a unpleasant experience with the staff who eventually ended up fixing the problem in the end. At first the problem was lack of communication. My roommate and I attempted to call/leave messages/email, never got responses and had to go out of our way to finally reach someone. Once we did get through, there was a ton of miscommunication and false expectations that had been set. Things were not very organized. I called in upset to explain my experience with a manager and luckily they lowered my rent amount even though I wasn't expecting that. It was a nice courtesy for the inconvenience so I accepted and moved forward with everything. I then called in a week prior to move-in which was 8/17/16 and I asked if I could come view the apartment. I was told that it wouldn't be ready over the weekend but that I could come the day prior to move-in which was that Tuesday 8/16/16 and that she checked and it would be ready to see at that time. I was fine with that and confirmed that I would be there. Showed up to see it, told it wasn't ready yet so I would have to come in the next day at 8am. Came in the next morning and was excited to finally see it. Spoke with Julius who throughout the process has been semi-clueless and not very helpful. He lead my roommate and I to see it and as soon as we got inside and looked around, there were a TON of things wrong with the apartment. Small chips/stains on the counter tops, waiting for washer and dryers to be delivered, the air filters still needed to be put in, there were drawers falling out off the tracks in the kitchen/bathroom, the counter in the bathroom has the laminate peeling off the entire side, paint needed to be touched up, there was a old looking shower dial that didn't match the other one and it just overall looked no good for what I expected. Explained to Julius that I was unhappy about this and wanted to speak with the manager. He informed me that was fine but tried to tell me I could just write a workorder to get it repaired. I was not having that because it should've already been taken care of. Went back to the leasing office and spoke with Assistant Manager Tricia who was more helpful than the rest. She was very nice and understanding so we ended up switching apartments and I didn't provide money until I knew it was up to par. I was still upset however because my three roommates and I already signed the lease for the first apartment and we already changed our address with the banks, post office, insurance, etc. Had my apartment switched and was happier with that but I did still have an unpleasant experience overall with their level of professionalism and customer service. Although they took care of the issue, I did have many problems in addition to what I just mentioned. I do however enjoy living here but I feel as though they need more staff to handle the business so it's not so difficult for future residents.
