  • 1 star is to many for this complex! When my sister and I went and looked at this place they showed us this cute little 2 bed 2 bath apartment that had been completely remodeled and told us that although not every apartment was updated that you would barley be able to notice the difference. That was the first let down. We moved in when they were having a special so the deposit wasn't much and we put down a pet deposit since we have a dog. The day that we moved in I had a 2 page list of things that were wrong with the apartment that we lived in. When we went to turn it in they said that they could not accept the paperwork because it was not the official towne square paperwork. I had little to no space to write what needed to be said on the "official" paperwork that they gave me but I did what I was able to do. In the apartment that we lived in the wood under the carpet moved and was uneven, our AC had to be worked on 2 times and since there are no vents in the bathrooms you could see where mold was starting to form and from day 1 we had stains all over the carpets. If you are use to low electric bills then this place will make you want to kill yourself. The walls are paper thin and there is zero insulation so you will pay triple what you are used to for power. While we lived here the water was turned off at least once a month if not more for routine maintenance, there was always dog poop left on the ground, Walmart shopping carts were always left in the parking lot, and children would be outside unsupervised for hours on end. The pools and the gym were being worked on so for 6 out of the 13 months that we lived here we could not even enjoy the amenities that we paid for. The landscapers work 6 days a week so be prepared to be woken up by leaf blowers at 7 every morning. God only knows what was actually being done because it looked as shitty as when they started. When I moved out I made sure that I turned in all of the keys and was told to sign the paperwork before actually doing the walk through, when I questioned it was told that I was supposed to set up my walk through 2 weeks in advance if I wanted to be there for it. I asked why nobody told me this before hand and the lady just shrugged her shoulders. (Did I mention that every person who works at the front office is either an idiot or just plain rude!) Over a month had gone by and I received an email saying that this was my second notice, mind you I never received anything prior, and I owed the complex money. When I called to ask what I was being charged for they lady was unable to tell me. It took 2.5 months of playing phone tag to finally figure out what the charges were for and guess what it was for stains all over the carpet and a small area that was scratched up by the dog. I told them about 10 times that I was not going to be paying for all of the stains since they were there when I moved in but according to them it was never reported. They said that even if it was just the little area by the front door from the dog that they still would have to replace everything from the front door to the patio door so I should stop worrying about the stains that I was also being charged for. When I asked them why the pet deposit and normal deposit wasn't paying for this I was told that I never actually paid a deposit and the pet deposit alone would not have been enough. I have finally given up on trying to argue with them about all of this because clearly it is getting me nowhere but I hope that if you are considering moving into this place that you read all of these reviews. There is truly something wrong with this place and they absolutely have no issues screwing people over and letting you live in a place that probably would not even pass an inspection.
