  • I just don't get it. Been reading the reviews and am shocked at how many think this is a great place to get good bbq. I guess maybe they have good days as well as bad. My boyfriend and I must have been there on a BAD day. This place really sucks!!! We only went in because we were out at the Southwest Ambulance Celebration of Freedom. When you first walk in, it smells like it is going to be real good. Delicious smell. Kinda just went down hill Real quick from there. Hard to see anything on the chalk board. The yellow flyers at the register, didn't offer much more help. At first glance, its a nice little place. Look a little closer and you see how shabby the place is and kinda dirty. As were the people serving. $20 later we had our food. We both got the brisket sandwich with the potato salad. They serve the meat dry. You have to add your own sauce. Sauce was ok. Could have had more smoke flavor and more spice. The Sprite was out of syrup when we got there. They did quickly fix that, but, still didn't have the right syrup soda water combination. More seltzer then sweet. It was a good amount of meat and salad. First bite was real good, but, something happens between the first and second bite. Was terrible. Tasted close to getting rancid. You could tell it had sat for a long time, long enough for the fat to congeal and taint the taste of the meat. Imagine burnt bits of beef in sour fat. Potato salad was awful as well. Not much to it more then potatoes and mustard and mayonnaise. The potatoes needed maybe another 15 minutes or so of cooking. They only have one rest room. Unisex. We will not be going back there. 5 Star BarBcue on country club is 100 times better, and cheaper too. I always wonder about these places and wonder how they stay in business I guess as long as there are people in the world with a sweet taste for sour owl shit places like Bubba's will stay open. No thank you. Honestly, I have had better barbcue from a roach coach. :( Review written by Eileen L McCormick
