  • UPDATE as of August 29: I just called to make an appointment for the follow up that Dr Chang promised me and was going to give them another chance. The secretary informed me that the Dr would not see me at all unless I removed the negative review. "You can't refuse service because of my review, that was what I experienced," I told her. Obviously no concern for what's legal at this office! And FYI, they "buy" their positive reviews by offering a discount and making the patient wait there while they check it. This is not a real doctors office and they should be ASHAMED of themselves for refusing service for damage they caused. 3 months ago: I have a golf ball sized dent in my ass due to the improper administration of a kenalog shot at Dr. Chang's office. I used to come here for my contraceptive, skin care and general check ups. I had no issues with this office until I had an urgent visit February 3rd with a long list of symptoms. I was told I had an issue with my contraceptive as well as severe allergies. Dr. Chang asked which issue I wanted to address that day and I said I'd like to deal with both. She said because I was a walk in appointment I could only address one issue and I had already taken more than two minutes of her time so I needed to hurry up. I explained that none of this was explained to me when I called to make the appointment. Feeling put on the spot as well as turned off by her poor bedside manner I opted to deal with the allergies so I could get back to work. Of the choices available I opted for the shot. I had a kenalog shot four years earlier with no problem. Upon checking out I asked the receptionist about dealing with the contraceptive issue and was told I'd have to book a separate appointment for that. I expressed my irritation at not having been informed when I first called that I could only address one issue with the Doctor and had "two minutes" to do so. Their response was that they're very busy and basically can't be expected to remember everything. Two months later I had been having extreme pain in my right hip and glute muscle, to the point where I could not work, drive, or sleep on my right side and at times the pain had me in tears. I finally noticed the dent and bruising that had showed up and when I realized what it was called Chang's office. I was told that I would have to pay another $60 office visit fee to have it looked at. I could not believe this place! Charging me to look at the damage they caused? When Dr. Chang finally did see the damage she made no apology and offhandedly mentioned how she has seen this before but in patients who got the shot somewhere else. "Well I didn't get the shot somewhere else I got it HERE," I said. I told her that I was NOT ok with this and that it was having a huge negative impact on my life and my job. Her response was that probably the only way to fix it was with fillers, but the kind that she doesn't do. She told me to come back in August so she could look at it again. I can't imagine what solution she could possibly come up with by then. I will not be back to this office, and neither will any of my friends who I referred there.
