I was so impressed with Thuy. She's really given a lot of thought to her craft. First off she starts the Brazilian in one of the less painful areas, whereas every other place I've been to starts in one of the most painful. This is genius because it gets your natural pain relievers flowing before the worst part and kind of eases you in. She also noticed the type of hair I have and adjusted accordingly. Apparently thin hair is more prone to ingrown because it breaks off, and hard wax--which I love generally--is not the best choice for the top area since it's more likely to break the hairs. Brilliant. It was a quick and relatively painless 10 minutes-- it felt like she needed less strips and pulls than other waxers.
