| - When i got to quickcare, i was suffering from flu symptoms that persisted for days. There was no one in the waiting room when I got there. I was taken back immediately- all the exam rooms were open with the lights off inside them, clearly they were slow. They put me in an exam room, and i could hear everything outside. The nurses and staff were discussing how slow it was, how they had no patients, and how "yesterday was so busy though". I sat in the room for FORTY FIVE MINUTES before the physicians assistant MARIAMMA JOSEPH came in for maybe about a minute or two and "diagnosed" me. She didn't listen to the fact that I said i've had flu symptoms for almost 3 weeks, that i've had fevers, body aches and chills that would go away for a few days, and then come back. She asked if my throat hurt. I said yes, that just today it had started hurting. She based her entire "diagnosis" on my throat, prescribed me amoxicillin and called it a day (amoxicillin does NOT treat the flu). She said the nurse would be back with my prescription. 20 minutes later I got upset and walked out of the room, went to the nurses station and asked what i was waiting for. Nurse says "oh to be discharged I'll do it now". THE NURSES WERE SITTING THERE HAVING GOOD OLE' CONVERSATION NOT DOING A DAMN THING when i went out there. The amoxicillin has done NOTHING and I actually spiked a fever again, even after taking it and I'm only feeling worse. I've called to try and get different medication or get help, only to be told "oh the nurse will call you" or "Oh, Mariamma is with patients but she will call you some time today" WORST SERVICE EVER. They ONLY care about taking your money and wasting your time. UMC Quickcare is by far the worst, and you never see a real doctor. DON'T GO HERE.
