| - Really classy little space, albeit located far out of the way.
I came here yesterday for a Mississauga Board of Trade (MBOT) event, which featured a VP from RBC Banking talking about the economic outlook for 2017. I wasn't sure what to expect with this place, but I was pleasantly surprised by the experience and service.
We were treated to a continental breakfast, and the staff certainly know how to do it up right. Fluffy scrambled eggs, cheese danishes, perfectly-cooked breakfast sausages, the works. I ended up going back up for a plate of fruit because I enjoyed it so much, and they had plenty of coffee (along with disposable cups from one of their local providers - always a nice touch) to boot.
I was also impressed by the staff, who were very quick to clean off tables and get plates out of the way. I don't know who the server is, but there was one woman going through the crowd during the keynote and whisking plates away. Whoever trains the staff there did a fantastic job.
If I do have a problem with the place, it's simply the location of the site. As part of the Royal Woodbine Golf Club, it's situated right in the heart of flyover space. The golf course is next to the hotel, and there were a couple points where low-flying planes made it a bit difficult to hear the speaker.
Regardless, The Vue is a classy place and a nice venue for corporate events. Well worth a look if you're in the area.
