Love this authentic German restaurant. After we saw it on an old Diners Drive-Ins and Dives rerun we decided to go.
Went on a Friday (we did make reservations for 6pm). When we arrived there was not too many people there and we sat on the bar side. Glad we did. There was an accordion player and a tuba player playing the typical German "oompa" type music. And they were in lederhosen It was awesome. By the time we left (7:00 7:15) it was starting to get busy.
With all their menu choices it was hard for us to choose but we decided on the Giant Pretzel appetizer and a dinner sampler plate for two (sorry don't recall the name of it) that had schnitzel, 2 kinds of kraut, german meatloaf, potatoes, spaetzle, and a smoked pork chop. We loved it all. Both my wife and I have German ancestry and this is some of the foods we remember our grand parents making. The giant pretzel had a side of spicy brown mustard that I just loved. We couldn't finish these ginormous portions so unfortunately we couldn't try he desert. We did take it home and it was tasty the next day as well.
