  • I'm a fan of the Fairmont Hotel chains, but this one needs to be renovated. It's really showing its age. I booked a regular room with a king sized bed and the space felt a little cramped. The toilet looked old and the wallpaper was starting to peel off a bit. Besides the fact that this hotel is very old, the service is still attentive and strong as always. This is a great location and was right in the Financial district of Toronto which was convenient for my visit for work. Fairmont Royal York has a business center which costs $5.50 for internet usage. I kind of hoped it was free, so I didn't get a chance to use it. There's also a Shoppers Drug Mart connected downstairs in the underground if you need to buy any toiletries and etc.
