I would be very careful booking with Sunwing. I am a woman, and I traveled alone with my son to Cancun with Sunwing. I paid for a "transfer" between my hotel and airport at the end of my trip. I called Sunwing that morning and asked where I should be dropped off at the airport. They said to get off where the driver drops me off. Ok. Fair enough. So I did. Low and behold there are 3 terminals. I was dropped off at Terminal 1. I needed terminal 3. With an unwell child, two huge suitcases and 2 carry-ons, I had to sort out a shuttle between terminals, and where to catch the shuttle and what terminal I was supposed to be at. I had to sort all of this out myself. I have been contacting Sunwing post-vacation and they have been giving me the run-around. Finally, they offer me a $50 travel voucher with their airline. Nope. Never booking with them again. I asked for a refund for the transfer (I think $100 total), because they did not fulfill the contract of what I had paid for. I am not asking for anything more than the amount of the transfer that dropped my in the wrong location. I am disgusted with them. They are easy to get ahold of before your trip, but it's impossible to get ANYTHING resolved post trip. So yes...I paid for a service that I did not receive. And the voucher is "the compensation being provided and will remain our full and final position on the matter". Nice eh?
