I am a sucker for doggies and even more of a sucker for puppies so despite my gut feeling about this place, I decided I had to see them up close. I wanted to take them all home and love them and let them run around, but that would never be a remote possibility. So, decided to look and oooh and awe and watch the mass of people doing the same thing.
If this place really doesn't use puppy mills, then I am petite, skinny and a virgin.
Yeah, I said it. They claim not to use puppy mills. They may not. But the woman working there also told me that none of the 20+ types of puppies came from Arizona. That they were all shipped to them by "legitimate"breeders and that is why they cost more.
I was saddened to see two puppies per small glass pen. On the positive side I did see other workers picking up dog poop as soon a puppy pooped.
I just wonder what happens to all of these little loves if no one adopts them as puppies since that is what this store sells. Do they get sent back to the "legitimate" breeder? Do they clog up the Humane Society system, do they get euthanized?
So sad stores like this are around. I wonder what Oprah would do?
